Special Events are those that are not offered on a regular basis, like workshops and competition weekends. These events are generally put on by local event organizers, both regular organizers and part-timers. This special event page is just a list of what is happening around Vancouver and in no way suggests that Jungle Swing is working with or endorsing any particular one. The write-ups for each will tell you who the organizers are.
Lindy Bout V – April 8th to 10th, 2011
Duking it out on the dance floor since 2007, Lindy Bout is the biggest Lindy Hop competition weekend west of Montreal!
Back for a fifth round, LINDY BOUT V will be held as usual in the spacious Grandview Legion Auditorium. This year’s matches, social dances, and workshops will take place Friday-Sunday, April 8-10, 2011…and they promise to be bigger and badder than ever! Lindy Bout was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2007 to fill a void in the Lindy hop community in Western Canada. It was important to have an event that truly represented where dancers were at in the West, an event that would foster healthy competition, an event that would inspire dancers to keep challenging their dancing and an event that would bring dancers from all over Canada’s West together for a big party.

When – Friday, Saturday & Sunday, April 8th, 9th and 10th
