Hey all, it’s Friday and time for a quick note on what’s happening tonight and a week from now.
First, there’s Blues in the City at Academie Duello, 412 W Hastings, tonight at 10pm. This is a great intro to Blues dancing as they have a drop-in lesson right off the top and go until 3am. Plus, it’s in the new Academie Duello digs! Check it out.
Next week, it’s Lindy Out Loud… here’s a little from Nic on that subject:
“Lindy Out Loud II
Because of all the positive feedback I got from Lindy Out Loud, I’m organizing another!
Presenting: LINDY OUT LOUD II!
Lindy Out Loud II is a formal swing event held in a great multipurpose space on the 8th floor of an apartment complex in Coal Harbor. The space features a Sprung hardwood floor, a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, a roof-top balcony/patio with garden, and lastly, but by no means least important, air conditioning. There will also be a concession which will be selling beverages as well as a variety of baked good, and other munchies.
So, without any further ado, the details:
Date:
Friday, October 16th, 2009.
Time:
Doors will be open at 7:15. Dancing Commences at 7:30pm, and continues until Midnight.
Where:
The Preforming Arts Lodge (PAL) Theatre
581 Cardero Street at Georgia, Downtown Vancouver.
The Box office will be on ground level. From there, you will take an elevator to the 8th floor.
Tickets:
Tickets can be bought in advance for $10.00, or at the door for $12.00.
Advance tickets can be bought from either Nicholas Timmenga, or Kathlene Graham. You can also e-mail us to request tickets.
PS. Please keep in mind that there are only 100 tickets available to this event, so the “I’ll just get a ticket at the door” approach may end in disappointment. Act now to guarantee your spot!
